Named "Best Flute and Guitar Duo" by Classical Guitar Magazine in the UK!

Winner of a First Prize with great distinction from the Conservatoires de musique du Québec and holder of a master's degree from the Université de Montréal, Nadia Labrie has been a soloist with orchestra on several occasions. She has performed Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp and Concerto No. 2 , Devienne's Concerto No. 7 , Patrick Roux's Concerto Tradiciónuevo for flute, guitar and orchestra (Canadian commission), François Borne's Fantaisie brillante on "Carmen" and his adaptation of Zigeunerweisen with the Quebec and Kamloops (B.C.) Symphony Orchestras, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Montreal Classical Orchestra, the Arion Baroque Orchestra and the Estuary Symphony Orchestra. Early in her career and for two years, she held the role of Principal Flute of the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra, with which she toured all over the world, with renowned soloists such as Anne-Sophie Mutter and James Ehnes, and under the direction of great conductors such as Kurt Masur, Yoav Talmi and Franz-Paul Decker. 

Since 1998, Nadia and her twin sister Annie Labrie have formed the duo Similia, which has been called "the best flute and guitar duo" by the British magazine Classical Guitar. Together, they have recorded four albums on the Analekta label, including Nota del Sol, which won a Félix in the Instrumental Album of the Year category at the 2004 ADISQ Gala. Since then, the duo has distinguished itself on the international scene by presenting more than 500 concerts in 13 countries. 

In 2018, Nadia released the album Flute Passion: Schubert. In 2020, she launched Flûte passion: Bach, then in 2021, Flûte passion: Mozart, which was nominated in the Classical Album of the Year category at the 2021 ADISQ Gala.

Since 2024, three albums of the Flute Passion trilogy: Claude Bolling (Suite N°1,   Suite N°2 for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio and Picnic Suite) have been released. A physical box set (Flute passion: Tribute to Claude Bolling) bringing together the complete works with flute will be available in November 2025. 

Invited to participate in numerous radio and television programs, Ms. Labrie has also made a name for herself through the broadcast of her concerts on the various channels of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, CBC Radio One and Two, Bravo!, Biography and CCTV (Asia). Her passion leads her to share her love of music with music lovers of all cultures. Having developed a keen interest in period flutes in recent years, Nadia has perfected her skills with the renowned Claire Guimond, founder of Arion Baroque Orchestra.

A recipient of CALQ and FCAR scholarships, she received the Governor General's Medal for excellence in her college studies. Ms. Labrie has been a judge for the Canadian Music Competition and has been awarded the distinction of the Relève citoyenne granted by the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec and the President of Celebrations Canada.
